Where is the best place you ever visited and why?
Hawaii was the most beautiful place I ever vacationed to. It was just breath taking from the azure blue waters and soft sands to the beauty of the Hibiscus flowers. It is how I envisioned heaven would look like.
As soon as I exited the plane, I was greeted by a young, Hawaiian boy who placed the traditional lei around my neck. The lei consisted of beautiful colored flowers. It was a wonderful greeting and the beginning of a memorable trip.
We made our way to our hotel, the Princess Kaiulani. The hotel was named after the only child of Princess Miriam Likelike, and the last heir apparent to the throne of the Hawaiian Kingdom.
We went to the traditional luau at the Hyatt Regency and toured Dole farms where they grow the most delicious pineapples. As a matter of fact, I took a case of pineapples home to give to my family.
The highlight of our trip was when we took a boat tour near the Arizona Memorial, which is built over the remains of the sunken battleship USS Arizona, the final resting place for many of the 1,177 crewmen killed on December 7, 1941, when their ship was bombed by Japanese Naval Forces. It was very solemn and quiet aboard the boat as everyone knew we were in sacred waters.
I hope to return to Hawaii one day to enjoy the heavenly beauty of a place that holds fond memories.
